Almost Friday

I am so glad it’s almost Friday. This has been a particularly long week for me and the weekend beckons VERY invitingly for a chance to sleep in!

My husband and I moved to south Alabama in mid-December 2011. We had lived almost a year in the Branson, Missouri area, but our time there came to an end and we were more than ready to move back home. It was a grueling year in Missouri, taxing to us both emotionally and physically. After moving, we were spent…and although I knew I needed to find a job to keep us going, I just had to take some time off.

I was blessed that I got a job that started on January 2 and although it’s temporary, it’s still a job. This project will last between three and six months, and then I will move to something new. For now, it’s a good way to make money without tying myself down to something I may not want to do on a long-term basis.The work isn’t difficult and at least I can leave the office and not have to worry about pagers, texts, or phone calls requiring more of my time.

I’m truly grateful for this job, but I’m glad it’s almost Friday.
