It was a simple wooden path built over the rough terrain. There was something about it that spoke to me that day, as I walked with my sister-in-law through the bird sanctuary on Dauphin Island. The day was cold and cloudy, but we trudged around looking for birds and other interesting things for me to capture with my camera. Only part of the trail was bridged over to make the path easier to navigate. It stood out starkly from the rest of the natural path, but it certainly made our hike go a little faster and a lot easier than walking across the uneven ground. Today at my church (New Life Assembly in Spanish Fort, Alabama), Pastor Smith preached on new beginnings. Boy, do I need a new beginning!
