And I Will Walk At Liberty
So, I’m a little late getting my July calendar up and running for all those following the series. I’ve been in transition – again – and just haven’t taken time to put anything together. This time, however, the transition has been good – no, strike that – it’s been GREAT! I’m serving once again in a ministry that was near and dear to my late husband, and it’s been a pleasure and an honor to see the legacy he left behind thriving and growing and making a difference in the lives of men and women and their families.
As I pondered what verses to use on the calendar this month, I found myself searching for something relating to freedom…after all, we are celebrating Independence Day today and it just seemed appropriate that freedom should be the primary topic. It seemed especially poignant, too, that with all the changes handed down from our Supreme Court, that we as Christians have much to pray about concerning our freedom to speak out. It is not a time to be silent. Even more so today, we must show that Jesus is the answer to the world’s many issues. So my chosen verses for the calendar expresses this sentiment…
“And I will walk at liberty, for I seek Your precepts. I will speak of Your testimonies also before kings and will not be ashamed.” (Psalm 119:45-46)
Our freedom is in our Saviour. Raise your voice, speak of His goodness and His saving grace, and don’t be ashamed. He’s coming soon! Display this calendar on your desktop and use it as a tool to witness to the Lord’s great love and mighty deeds!
