A Game of Patience
It’s been awhile since I posted to my blog. Cares of life and a very busy work schedule often times preempts my hobbies and passions. Since I’ve taken a couple days vacation time, I thought I’d catch up on a bit of photography. So, this afternoon I set up my camera to capture birds at the birdfeeder.
Bird photography is a game of patience and is not for the faint of heart! You also never know what might enter the view of the lens. I have seed in the feeders that is designed to lure cardinals, but I never suspected it would also attract woodpeckers. Since cardinals are easily spooked, I placed my camera near the feeder and set it up for remote shooting. Then came the wait game. I stayed out of view and waited until I heard the familiar chirp of the cardinal singing his song at the joy of new food in the feeder. A few shutter clicks and Mr. & Mrs. Cardinal were mine! The bonus was Mr. Woodpecker, who has taken a liking to the seed I’m using.
Enjoy these special creatures from God and remember, if He cares for sparrows (and all the birds of His creation), how much more will He care for YOU!
